Verhaltensregeln im Wildnisgebiet Dürrnstein
Verhaltensregeln im Wildnisgebiet Dürrnstein

The wilderness area’s main goal is to allow nature and natural processes to unfold with as little human intervention as possible. However, in order to promote understanding of nature and nature reserves in the population, it is necessary to allow people to experience nature. Therefore, the nature reserve administration develops a diverse range of excursions [ download program ] every year for those interested in visiting the nature reserve. This ranges from botanical and zoological excursions to hikes that seek to promote the understanding of the wilderness’ nature as well as to offer an experience of nature.

Restricted walkways limit access to the area, in order to protect the natural environment. Large areas of the nature reserve are not open to individual visitors. Visitors must remain on the pathways while in the wilderness area. Please follow the rules of conduct that apply in the Wilderness Dürrenstein! The guided tours offer you an insight into the beauty and importance of this natural treasure.
