Primary aim of "Wilderness Dürrenstein" is to largely prevent human intervention in nature, environment and natural cycles. To stimulate interest and understanding for nature, especially for nature reserves, it is important to make nature come to life. Therefore the administration of "Wilderness Dürrenstein" offers a wide array of guided tours for interested people. This programme includes botanical and zoological excursions as well as hiking tours, which aquaint you to the area and give an impression of a nature experience.
Out of respect for nature the right of access to "Wilderness Dürrenstein" is restricted to what is called "Wegegebot", meaning that visitors have to stick to marked trails. Large parts of the area are not accessible for individuals. But guided tours will reveal the beauty of this gem of nature.
